Lido Accommodation, widely recognised as Australia’s first specialist accommodation broker, was established in 1990 to provide aggregated accommodation services to organisers and attendees of these exhibitions and events.

In 2002 these two successful branches merged to form The Lido Group. At this time our aggregated accommodation brokerage commenced centralising procurement processes for government departments and large corporate entities. Lido has specialised in these sectors for the last decade and has developed technologies with results that have become both market leaders and award winners.

We can work alongside your TMC in a collaborative approach, with our properties being available via our own Online Booking Tool (OBT) customised to your specific requirements, the Amadeus GDS and a variety of third party OBTs or we can offer a full-service model with offline service via our 24hr call centre.

Among numerous other government and corporate clients, we have held the contract to develop and manage the Australian Department of Defence Business Travel and the Defence Relocations Programs (the largest managed accommodation programs in Australia and New Zealand) for over 5 years. The AADX (Australian Accommodation Data Exchange)

The development of the AADX was originally a technology project undertaken in 2005 by The Lido Group in conjunction with the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) and the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research with the assistance of many industry suppliers. It now distributes inventory for over 8000 properties and is rich in regional and remote location providers. The Lido Group recently entered an agreement with Amadeus IT Pacific to integrate these properties into the GDS via the chain code ‘AA’. This advanced program is called our ‘AADX Plus’ offer.

The AADX powers our members-only websites, www.government.travel and www.university.travel, provides multiple connection points to our accommodation property partners, powers our internal reservations system, controls our corporate client programs including secure traveller profiles as well as our fully automated and patented ‘DORA’ program.

DORA (Dynamic Online Reconciliation Application)

DORA is Asia Pacific’s, if not the world’s, most advanced accommodation payment system with the provision of integrated Enhanced Data including incidental spend. It was recently granted an Australian Patent and is truly unique. It supplies accommodation payment solutions across all corporate card programs, providing a single Enhanced Data feed direct to the acquiring financial institution and then directly into the clients’ financial management systems.

This unique technological innovation has been developed to massively streamline the reconciliation and payment processes for large entities. Our system, integrated with your corporate card program provider, can reduce thousands of monthly invoices to a single, daily, pre-reconciled and paid data feed of transactions.

Lido Events

Lido Events is the oldest specialist events accommodation provider in the country. We negotiate block reservations at accommodation providers as well as provide our last minute events accommodation program, LEADS, to event organisers and PCOs (Professional Conference Organisers). Our LIDOnline suite of tools includes online event registration and payment as well as post event satisfaction surveying.
